Social Enterprise UK and Real Partners CIC have joined forces to run a national social enterprise leadership programme. Increase long-term growth and create sustainable organisational strategies. Create a culture of innovation and questioning to stretch your organisational boundaries.

 

Our leadership courses aim to support you to

  • Become an investment ready organisation.
  • Increase your confidence, in starting, shaping and growing a social enterprise.
  • Define and drive vision and strategy and improve your knowledge and understanding to create viable business models.
  • Make the most of relationships and partnerships and participate in an active network of peers, for a rich source of new knowledge and understanding, support and guidance.

How the courses are delivered

  • We take a practical approach to learning which enables participants to reflect on their impact in the context of their own environment.
  • We use current case studies, expert speakers, action learning and site visits to embed learning and newly acquired skills.
  • We support leaders through one-to-one coaching sessions to uncover their immense strengths and significant development areas we support leaders to build these into a comprehensive leadership action plan.
  • We provide learning in bite-sized pieces through access to our on-line toolkits, our coaching offer, networks and seminars.

The Executive Development Programme is for chief executives and senior managers in social enterprises.

This is a high-quality, practice-based, value-for-money learning experience. With speakers from across all sectors and practical examples, this programme has been designed to provide you with new knowledge and capability, which will act as a springboard for the future robustness and growth of your organisation - as well as inspiration for you as a leader.

Format: 5 days of development workshops, 360° Assessment, 1-2-1 Coaching Sessions and access to exclusive tools & resources.

Price: £1895 + VAT per person for Social Enterprise UK members | £2350 + VAT for non-members (price includes accommodation).

Venue: The programme will hosted in a centrally located social enterprise venue in Leicester or Birmingham.

Liberate is for leaders of social enterprises and mutuals 'spinning-out' of the public sector.

The drive to promote Public Sector mutuals and more enterprising councils forms the cornerstone of the Government’s public sector reforms. A large part of this agenda is allowing public sector staff to create social enterprises and trading arms through ‘spinning-out’ existing services. The government are expressing the desire to see one in six public servants working for mutuals and social enterprises by 2015.

These new ‘spin-outs’ are vulnerable to the same challenges that face many independent enterprises in their first 1-5 years of operation; creating an entrepreneurial culture, raising early capital, and struggling to hold their own against larger and more established competitors. Support to overcome these challenges is vital. This programme will help organisations meet the challenges of the new world.

 

 

Since March 2011 Social Enterprise UK and Real Partners have been delivering programmes for Emerging Leaders, Senior Leaders, the Liberate “spin-out” Programme and a Youth Organisations Social Enterprise Leaders Programme working with over 60 sector leaders.
